Silky Dog Shampoo vs Whitening Shampoo

Treated vs Not treated with Silky Dog Shampoo
Right of the finger, we shampoo with Silky.
Left of the finger, we did not.

Prior to the treatment, this Westie (Casper) has previously been using "Whitening Shampoo". Not recommended as they contain lots of bleaching chemicals and surfactants, which damage the hair and skin of the dog. And yes, his condition is termed "sensitive skin". Vets and groomers love to label conditions.

Well any skin is sensitive if there is any harsh chemical in contact with it. It is not the dog's defect, but the fault is that commercial dog shampoos that are cheaply made with harsh chemicals. With surfactants, a dog shampoo company can produce a 500ml bottle for $1.60 and sell it for $40. Surfactants make the liquid viscous and therefore appealing, but they damage the hair and skin.

See that the left is smoother and has less tangles than the right?
The left is soft and smooth, while the right is curled and hard.
This is after only one wash

Below is a picture of Mimi, Xiaobai and Casper.
Mimi and Xiaobai have been using Silky Dog Shampoo but Casper had been using the "Whitening Shampoo"

And this is after treatment with Silky after 1.5 months, Casper is as white as Mimi:
